About the Recipe

Udon (うどん) are thick Japanese noodles made from wheat flour, chewy in texture, and are beloved in Japanese cuisine. Hinode Udon Sauce is produced using mirin. You can enjoy the umami of the soup!

Ingredients

  • Frozen udon noodles ..... 1 package

  • Hinode Udon Sauce ..... 20ml

  • Water ..... 160ml

  • Chopped green onion for garnish

  • Optional toppings: tempura, kamaboko, deep-fried tofu pockets (aburaage)

Preparation

Step 1

Prepare the frozen udon noodles as instructed on the package. After cooking, drain them and rinse with cold water to prevent them from sticking.


Step 2

In a medium pot, combine Hinode Udon Sauce and water. Bring to a boil over medium heat.


Step 3

Place udon noodles into a bowl and ladle the hot broth over the noodles.

Top with chopped green onion and your chosen topping.


*Dilute with water
